Michael Anthony McKelvey was born October 16, 1984 in Charleston, SC, son of Michael A. McKelvey and Sadie Adams McKelvey. He departed this life on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Sumter, SC.

Michael was educated in the Berkeley County public schools in Moncks Corner, SC.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving little brother Jamal McKelvey, and his loving grandmothers, Josephine Scott and Sophie Adams.

Those who are left with his memories are: his loving parents, Michael and Sadie Adams McKelvey; his daughter, Za'ria Smalls; uncles, Frank (Yvonne) Adams, John Adams, Ernest (Eva Mae) Adams, Owen Adams, Silas Adams, Clearance Adams, Jamie Scott, Chalmers Scott and John Scott; aunts, Angela Scott, Mary Ellen Brown, Virgie Mae Butler, Rachael Milligan and Reatha (Al) Limehouse; one special aunt, Kathaleen McKelvey; special brother, Jerome (Alicia) Grant; special sister, Tshia (Valerian) Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021, 2:00 p.m., at Westview Cemetery, 1010 Cooper Store Road, Moncks Corner, SC. There will be no viewing. As per CDC guidelines for COVID-19, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing at the service.
