On Wednesday afternoon, August 26, 2009 at 5:21 p.m., Minister Geraldine G. Eadie of Saint Stephen, South Carolina went to heaven to join her heavenly Father. We do not mourn our loss however, we celebrate her life and her life's works. We thank God for her love, devotion and teachings throughout her life's journey. Geraldine was born in Russellville, South Carolina on July 31, 1950. She was a daughter of the late Moses Gourdine and Mary Jane Middleton Gourdine. Geraldine was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County and graduated from Russellville High School in the Class of 1968. She was employed by Gates Rubber Company for twenty-five years until her retirement. Geraldine was united in holy matrimony to William M. Eadie. One son, William M. Eadie, Jr., preceded her in death. Geraldine was an active minister at St. Mark Holiness Church, Pineville, South Carolina. She entered into ministry in May 2004 under the guidance of Elder John Moyd, Sr. She was a community helper at home and in Charlotte, North Carolina. She loved to travel, and she ministered to others along her life's journey. Those left to cherish her precious memories are: her loving husband, William M. Eadie; daughter, Katina Hosford (Hayden) of Charlotte, NC; son, Durrelle Eadie (Camica) of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren: Ivona Hosford, Ian Hosford, Jacquez Eadie, Nahjae Eadie and Stacia Oglesby; five sisters, Bernice Small, Ellen Bland, Lula Mae Moyd (Aaron), Shirley Ellington and Angela Gourdine; sisters-in-law, Betty Blanding and Catherine Judge; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph Gourdine, Sanko Blanding, Elmo Judge and Rachel Brooks.
