IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mozell Paulette
Ricks
October 30, 1964 – October 28, 2021
Mozell Paulette Ricks, the daughter of Mr. Evans Page and Mrs. Albertha Shirley Simmons and stepdaughter of Mr. Carl Simmons, was born on October 30, 1964 in Manhattan, New York.
Mozell attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School located in Bronx, New York.
Mozell married Dominick Ricks Sr. on February 12, 1985, and to this union came Dominick, Dominque and Anthony Ricks.
Mozell was a faithful member of Miracle Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Anthony D. Holmes where she served as an Usher for many years.
Mozell was a philanthropist with a big heart for people. She started out doing different ventures such as nursery assistant, TSA, cropping, as well as being co-owner of D's Janitorial and Born to be Free. In the 1980s, she began her life long mission as a nurse and private duty care-giver; all while being a stay at home Mom. Mozell was passionate about trying many different adventurous undertakings such as scuba diving, cruising, tennis and piano, but was unable to fulfill those dreams because she lived a selfless life by taking care of others and doing so effortlessly.
Mozell's favorite saying was "I don't like you", which really meant she loved you.
Mozell departed this life on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her home.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: her children, Dominick C. Ricks (Sade), Dominique M. Ricks and Anthony E. Ricks; grandchildren, Jasmine A. and Alanna A.
