With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Mrs. Omelia R. Rodgers of Savannah Creek, South Carolina, who transitioned from this life on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Mrs. Rodgers was a beloved wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister whose warmth and quiet strength touched the hearts of many. She leaves to honor her memory: her loving husband, Mr. William McCoy Rodgers; two daughters, Annie R. Shine (Charlie) and Maxine S. Weiters (Gary); three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her dear siblings, Eugene Smalls, Ruby Knight, and Evelyn Smith; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

A viewing will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at New Emanuel AME Church, 3664 North Highway 17A, Jamestown, SC. Burial will be in Savannah Creek Cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at their residence from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
