Obituary

Celebrating the life of Mr. Paul White (affectionately called Daddy, Granddaddy and Mr. P (for Pops by his sons-in-law).

Paul was born on December 11, 1929 in Pineville, South Carolina. He was born to the late Mary White. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Silas White and a sister, Naomi (Butch) White.

Paul was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Trident Medical Center.

Paul was educated in the public school system of Berkeley County. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a faithful and active member at Calvary R.E. Church. He was a member of the Adult Choir and the Adult Sunday School Class and served as an Usher, Vestry Board member and was the Church Treasurer for many years.

Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball. His favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed helping the people of the community with their plumbing problems. His favorite gospel singer was Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's.

Paul was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Emaline Milligan White for 70 years. They were separated by death for seven months. But now, they are reunited in Heaven for eternity. This union was blessed with six children.

Paul leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Eugene (Mary) White, Herbert (Richardeen) White, Glennie (Marion) McClennon, Jo-Anne (Sidney) Alston, Beverly (Francis) Blake and Paula (Barry) Heyward; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Serena Benekin and Laura Belle Wells; one brother, Keith (Betty) Gourdin; four sisters-in-law, Annie White, Elizabeth (James) Jenkins, Emajean Milligan and Elizabeth Milligan; one brother-in-law, Andrew (Queen) Milligan; a very special cousin, Geneva Lloyd; an adopted daughter, Lavenia Gadsden; an adopted granddaughter, Veronica Jefferson; an adopted son, Randy Washington; a special friend, Isaiah Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
