Rachel Elizabeth Adams Milligan was born on September 18, 1951 in St. Stephen, South Carolina. She was a daughter of the late John Henry Adams and Sophie Faber Adams.

Rachel received her education in the Berkeley County public schools.

Rachel  was united in holy matrimony to Willie Oscar Milligan. This union was blessed with seven children. Her husband and daughter, Sandra Adams, preceded Rachel in death.

Rachel enjoyed fishing, watching soap operas and reading the bible. She was a compassionate and loving woman who was a caregiver to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Rachel entered into eternal rest with the Lord on October 4, 2021 at Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Cynthia Weathers (John), Willie Mae Milligan, Elijah Milligan (Merlinda), Christina Brabham (Tyrone), Monica Milligan and Ebony Milligan; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Frank L. Adams (Yvonne), Henry Adams, Jr., Earnest Adams (Eva Mae), Owen Adams, Vergie Mae Butler, Silas Adams, Clarence Adams (Isabell), Sadie McKelvey (Michael) and Prophetess Reatha Limehouse (Al); sister-in-law, Margaret Garnett; companion, Ralph Major; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins  and friends.

Rachel was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Lee Adams.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Face masks are required. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Westview Cemetery, 1010 Cooper Store Road, Moncks Corner, SC. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
