On May 22, 1965, God blessed Mr. Oliten Morton and Mrs. Doris Morton with a beautiful flower Ramona Morton. Ramona, affectionately known as "Sug", was reared in the Longridge section of Moncks Corner, SC. Ramona was a very loving, funny, and kindhearted person who loved everybody. She was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County School District. She was a 1983 graduate of Berkeley High School. She obtained her cosmetology license from Farah's Hair School. She attended Centura College, where she studied to become a certified Medical Assistant. Ramona believed the Word of God when it said, "if a man don't work he ought not eat", so as the leader and role model that she was, Ramona had several careers. Ramona was employed with the Berkeley County School District and the Department of Social Services as a Bus Driver. She was the "finger licking good" cook at Kentucky Fried Chicken, and her last assignment was a home attendant at a residential facility in Moncks Corner. Ramona was the third person to become a member of Heart to Heart International Ministries. She served on several auxiliaries: the food bank (Joseph Project), the original Praise and Worship Choir (P.S.A.L.M), Children's Church Teacher and Evangelism (fishing team member). She also contributed to many of the functions held at H.H.I.M. Ramona loved God with all of her heart. Ramona loved to share God's love with others, and inviting others to her church. She was a strong activist of the Longridge Community. She enjoyed organizing health fairs for the community. Ramona was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She will be missed by her loving and devoted mother, Doris Morton of Moncks Corner, SC; her daughters, Quatiffa Morton and Shaquandra Morton both of Moncks Corner, SC; one brother, Roscoe (Sylvia) Morton of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Rhonda Morton of Moncks Corner, SC and Rita (Chris) Robinson of Jacksonville, FL; one adopted sister, Anita Sherrier of Jacksonville, FL; one god son, Antonio Gillard of Moncks Corner, SC; three nieces, Shamaray Morton, Shameka Morton, and Christianna Robinson all of Jacksonville, FL; two nephews, Roscoe Morton, Jr., and Christopher Robinson, II both of Jacksonville, FL; two aunts, Sylvia Fluckers of Jacksonville, FL and Lucille Morton of Moncks Corner, SC; five uncles, Julius (Johnnie Mae) Henderson of Jacksonville, FL; James (Eunatee) Henderson of Virginia; John Brunson of Jacksonville, FL; Elijah (Mary) Morton and William Davis both of Moncks Corner, SC; good friends, Dorothy Richardson, Pauline Fludd, Annie Hatcher, Annie Roberts, Catherine Coleman, Elsie Addison, Jocelyn Patterson, Sandra Jamison-Gilyard, Deborah Carson, Shondell Peace, and Greg Williams; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
