Obituary

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." - Matthew 5:16

Randall James Greene, son of Henry James and Sheila Callum Greene, was born on December 12, 1982 in Charleston, South Carolina. He departed this life on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. Julian Greene, Mrs. Victoria Hamilton, Mrs. Ellen C. Phyall and Mrs. Williemena Greene.

Randall was loved and raised in a Christian home. At an early age, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor John W. Wilson.

Randall was a 2001 graduate of Timberland High School, Berkeley County School District. He was also a 2005 graduate of South Carolina State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, Randall moved to Orlando, Florida where he was employed by Walt Disney World, Inc. in Hotel Management. While residing in Florida, Randall was also employed with Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center and The Hilton.

In 2014, Randall relocated to the Charlotte, NC area and worked with Red Ventures in sales and marketing. Most recently, Randall was employed with McGrath RentCorp. Randall was loved by everyone he came in contact with in the workplace. His smile was contagious. A co-worker stated, "if we had more Randalls in the world, we would all live in a better place."

Randall enjoyed traveling. One of his favorite sayings was YOLO (You Only Live Once). He recently returned from a 7-day trip to Belize. His recent destinations included Mexico, San Diego, Costa Rica, Las Vegas and Florida, which he considered his second home. Even though he lived in various places, Randall had a special love for his hometown of Alvin. Randall was fascinated with fire trucks and served his community along with his father at the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department Company No. 17.

Randall loved football. In Randall's eyes, there was only one NFL football team - The Dallas Cowboys, "America's Team". He was undoubtedly the ultimate fan, win or lose. Randall lived and breathed Cowboys football and seized every opportunity to attend home games in Dallas with his sister, Shelley and friends. Randall's final Cowboys game was the January 2019 playoff game which he attended with his friend Brian.

His memories will always be cherished by: his loving and devoted parents, Henry James and Sheila Callum Greene; two sisters, Deirdra (Henry) Chandler of Waxhaw, NC and Shelley M. Greene of Goose Creek, SC; nephew, Caleb Lee Chandler and niece, Cassie Logan Chandler of Waxhaw, NC; five aunts, Glennie (Ulysses) Greene, Barbara (Carl) Bryant and Juliette Howell all of Alvin, SC, Teshine (Walter) Good of Marietta, GA and Cassandra (Phil) Thompson of New York, NY; six uncles, Friendly (Mazie) Greene of Baltimore, MD, Lucher (Evelyn) Snider, Lathro Callum, Jimmie (Jean) Callum and Eldridge (Mary) Callum all of Jamestown, SC and Lloyd (Cynthia) Callum of Orangeburg, SC; two great-aunts, Fredia Canty of Jamaica, NY, and Christine Vice of Alvin, SC.

Randall will also be missed by his devoted and dedicated friend Brian Snider along with a host of family, cousins and many friends.
