Regina Lucretia Coleman was born September 24,1967, in Columbia, SC, and departed this life March 24, 2024, in Charleston, SC.  She was always a happy person with a million-dollar smile, and she shared joy with everyone she met.  She was polite, kind, and very respectful of her elders.

As a student at W.J. Keenan High School, Gina was quite a fashionista.  She was well known for her high fashion outfits, many of which were custom made, and her matching nail polish. She was so meticulous; she would change her nail color daily to match her outfits.  She grew up like a little princess but never lost compassion for those that were less fortunate.  After high school she was very industrious and ambitious and always gainfully employed. She held several local positions in Columbia before subsequently moving to Kuwait in 2007, to accept a civilian position on a military base where she worked for 10 years.  When she returned to the United States, she built a home in Charleston, SC, that would become the permanent home to raise her children.

She loved to cook, and when one of her children became a vegan, she developed several amazing vegan dishes that she turned into a business and catered to an extensive local clientele.  Traveling was another of her favorite past times, and indeed her stay in Kuwait allowed her to see the world, and she also traveled extensively in the continental United States.  In addition, she loved to shop, she loved music, she loved to dance, but most of all she loved her family and she loved when they surrounded her.  She was very intelligent, had a keen business acumen and became a successful advocate for herself during her illness.

She was very spiritual and had faith that could move mountains.  She insisted God had her and she was not concerned about her fate.  Indeed, she was highly favored, and God kept her much longer than most in her situation.  She joined Centenary United Methodist Church in Moncks Corner, SC, and really loved her church family.  The God in her allowed her to always be upbeat, an excellent mother, daughter and grandmother, full of inspiration and thoughtful of others.   Every morning at 5 a.m., she would call her mother, "Good morning, Crocodile" she would say and ask about the grandchildren, her mom would end with "See you later, Alligator". Before hanging up, she would always say, "I love you", or "I love you more."

She was strong, determined, and fought a good fight. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Griffin Sr. She leaves to mourn: her parents Euretha and Timothy Coleman; four children, Reginald, Rolonda, Roshard and Roshawn Coleman; four grandchildren, Zaria and Zevin Young, Reginald Coleman Jr. and Zoie' Creech; one brother Paul Griffin II; one sister Tammy Griffin; one sister in Christ Ronji Richardson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

May the bright light that she lit in our lives continue to shine in our hearts forever.
