IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Renolph "Ricky"
Walker
July 23, 1956 – March 31, 2021
Mr. Renolph Walker, affectionately known to everyone as Ricky, the son of the late Henry and Ernestine Walker, Sr., was born July 23, 1956, in Berkeley County, SC. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Roper St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, SC.
Ricky grew up and attended the public schools in Berkeley, County, SC and graduated from Berkeley High School in 1976. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, served four years and was honorably discharged.
He was a member of Messiah Church of Deliverance for many years. He later joined Moncks Corner AME Church under the leadership of Pastor Richard Harkness. There he served faithfully as a member of the Men's Fellowship and the Sons of Allen.
He was employed at Piggly Wiggly for over 25 years. In 2013, he established his own transport business, Walker's Hauling. His devotion to his transport business was a reflection of his hard work and dedication.
Ricky loved his family and would do anything for them, especially his grandsons. He loved watching movies and his favorites were horror and Sci-fi movies. Ricky was a life-long fan of the Oakland Raiders/Las Vegas Raiders. Ricky's love for his pets, Shaft and Jengo, was unconditional.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: two children whom he loved unconditionally, Jerrard (Virginia) Walker of Moncks Corner, SC and LaNeia Walker of Summerville, SC; three grandchildren, Kayla, Shane and Tyler; three sisters, Reverend Lillie Mae (George) Reid of Moncks Corner, SC, Glady Joeanne (David) Gadson of Summerville, SC, and Tranie Ann (James) Staley of Raleigh, NC; five brothers, Royal Lee Walker of Summerville, Reverend Henry (Felicia) Walker, Jr. of Summerville, SC, Christopher (Delores) Walker of Moncks Corner, SC, Eugene (Ruth) Walker of Moncks Corner, SC, and Alfonso (Lucille) Walker of Summerville, SC; one aunt, Patunia Capers of Summerville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
