It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Reverend James Frost of Bonneau, South Carolina, who departed this life on Monday, May 18, 2026. A retired pastor of Jerusalem AME Church in Hemingway, South Carolina, Reverend Frost dedicated his life to faith, service, and community.
Beyond his spiritual calling, he found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of gardening and fishing, hobbies that reflected his gentle and patient nature.
Reverend Frost leaves behind a loving legacy cherished by his devoted wife, Mrs. Delores E. Frost, and his children; Terrence (Janeen) Frost, Deborah (Reverend John) Taylor, Eric (Chavell) Frost, Reverend Albert (Tonya) Frost, Damon Frost, and Tony Swinton. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather whose warmth and guidance enriched the lives of many. He is also survived by his siblings; Arthur Smallwood, Freddie (Gracie) Smallwood, Henry Smallwood, Nathaniel (Beatrice) Smallwood, Faye Husser, Inez Holley, and Lula Greene, along with his extended family and friends whose hearts are deeply touched by his passing.
Viewing will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
A Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at Moncks Corner AME Church, 306 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home's Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/gethersfh
Burial will be in St. Peters AME Church Cemetery, 1299 Mendel Rivers Road, Bonneau, SC.
