Robert Lee Reid was born on October 24, 1946 to Louise Houser. He was later adopted by Louis and Louise Reid. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jacquelyn "Neecie" Reid and his brother, Harry Lee Brown.

Robert Lee was educated in Berkeley County Public Schools. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1970. During his service in the Marines, he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1975. Following his return from service in Hawaii, Robert Lee attended Baptist College. He spent many years working as a truck driver and later with Berkeley County.

Robert Lee fell asleep in death on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran Administration Medical Center, Charleston, SC.

Robert Lee will be missed by his siblings, Isadora Rollerson, Anna Levy (Earl), Matthew Brown, John Brown, Larry "Buddy" Brown and Alfredia Brown. Also left to cherish his memory are his stepchildren, Aneathia "Nikki" Walker (Bubba) and Shawn Reynolds. He will also be fondly remembered by his close cousins, Williams Jerome "Reeco" Reid (Denoras) and Harvey Reid (Doreatha), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A PRIVATE Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Please contact the family for information.
