Obituary

Mr. Ronald Smith, son of the late Royal Smith and Shirley J. Smith, was born on July 7, 1959 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Ronald was a 1976 graduate of Macedonia High School. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps from July 1976 to August 1980. He then attended Trident Technical College where he received a diploma in Industrial Electricity. Ronald was employed with Lureus Electric Company, San Lorenzo, CA, Brown Electric Company, Oakland, CA, Eastern Electric Company, Moncks Corner, SC and Plusa Wool Company, Jamestown, SC. Ronald was a member of Liberty Reformed Episcopal Church where he served on the Vestry Board. Ronald was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Gracie Lee Manigault on November 17, 1982. To this union, two children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving mother, Shirley J. Smith; one son, Steven Smith; one daughter, Suzanne Smith; two stepchildren, Damon and Hilisha Hinton all of Oakland, CA; one grandson, one step-grandson, one step-granddaughter; one sister, Sheraldine Fulmore of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Royal J. Smith and Charlie N. Smith both of Jamestown, SC; a very special friend, Viola Pinckney of St. Stephen, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
