IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosalind Regina
Mcgill
November 21, 1973 – July 5, 2022
A Time to be born…
Rosalind was born on November 21, 1973 as Rosalind Regina Johnson to parents Eddie and Alma Johnson of Goose Creek, South Carolina and father, Charles Prioleau of Atlanta, Georgia. She was the second daughter of three siblings.
A Time to Live…
Rosalind received her education in the Berkeley County School System. She had various studies, educational training and talents. She worked in the Health Care System for 20 years or more that included: Medical University of South Carolina, Roper St. Francis and Jenkins Orphanage Institute. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic and during her diagnosis of cancer, Rosalind found her new trade and gift in floral arrangements and plants that brought her joy.
Rosalind, however family and friends called her: Ros, Roz, Rose or Ross, whatever you may have called her, loved people.
Roz gave her life to Christ at a young age. She first knew how much she loved the Lord when she spoke boldly to her Mother, telling her she would only use her voice to sing for God. She was very talented at a young age; singing in talent shows, school choirs and playing in the band.
Roz served in ministry under Pastor Francis McPherson, Pastor Clinton McPherson, Pastor Kato Reese and Pastor John Mack. She will never forget her immersion baptism by Dr. Kato Reese and Dr. Danny Johnson (Matthew 3:3-17).
Those left to cherish her memories are: her husband, Jerome McGill; her parents, Charles Prioleau and Alma (Eddie) Johnson; her children, Jeremy McGill, Rashon (Darreshia) Reid, Sheldon (Ashton) Reid and Shane Reid; her grandchildren, Rashon Reid, II and Chase Reid; siblings; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Greater St. James A.M.E. Church, 1831 Jedburg Road, Summerville, SC. Burial will take place in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. THERE WILL NOT BE A PUBLIC VIEWING FOR MRS. McGILL.
The family will be receiving friends at their residence from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY.
