Rufus "Dad" Campbell, son of the late Mr. Henry and Mrs. Viola Campbell, was born May 22, 1926 in Bonneau, South Carolina. On Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 6:52 p.m., he entered into eternal rest at UniHealth Nursing Home, Moncks Corner, SC. Rufus received his education the Berkeley County Schools. At an early age, he became a member of St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church, Bonneau, SC where he served faithfully until his health declined. Rufus was married to the late Mary Frost Campbell. Rufus leaves to mourn his passing: one sister, Mrs. Joan Carter of Charleston, SC; one brother, Mr. Jerry Campbell (Ida Lee) of St. Stephen, SC; a special niece, Ida Campbell Liferidge (Clarence) of Moncks Corner, SC; a very special friend, Mr. Richard Roper of Moncks Corner, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Rufus was preceded in death by four brothers: Phillip Campbell, Edward Campbell, Melvin Campbell and Moses Campbell; and four sisters: Mary McKnight, Elizabeth Benjamin, Virginia Burgess and Lennie Mae Bryant.
