Sally Sylvia Brown was born July 12, 1937, in Charleston, South Carolina to the union of Joe and Hannah Boney Brown.  At age 11, after her mother died, Sally and her sister moved to Moncks Corner, SC to live with their aunt.

Sally received her education in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC and graduated from Berkeley Training High School. She completed three years at South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC, prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force.  While on active duty, she served as an Air Traffic Controller. After her Honorable Discharge from the military, she took a position as a Corrections Officer with the New York State Correctional Center.

Sally retired in 1979 and moved back to her hometown of Moncks Corner, SC.  She loved and served the Lord. She had a generous and loving spirit which included helping children and people in need. Sally was a very sincere beautiful woman, so sweet and kind, and so loveable. She brought her broad, warm smile, hearty laugh and love of children and people to lifelong community service. She volunteered at the local food bank and worked tirelessly in her church nursery.  She also tutored youth and taught Bible Study in her community.  She was a devout Christian and an active member of Pointe North Church.

Sally peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2017, in Charleston, SC.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

She leaves to cherish her love and memory: her sister, Marva Yvonne Brown; a host of nieces and nephews, including Raymond Kyser Jr., Leonard Palmer, Gary Palmer, Anthony Palmer, Brandy Palmer, Patrick Magnusohn Jr., Patrick Magnusohn III, Dominique Magnusohn, Arthur Brown, Kevin Brown, Christiar Brown Langston, Cheryl Brown and Jaclyn Tolbert;  a very special friend of over 40 years who was always there for her, Henrietta Marion; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
