Mr. Samuel L. Garrett, son of Ms. Gertrude Garrett, was born July 21, 1958 in Arkansas. He departed this life on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Summerville Medical Center, Summerville, SC. Samuel was a graduate of Osceola High School, Osceola, AR. He was employed by Kapstone, Summerville, SC. Samuel leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Youlanda L. Garrett; mother, Gertrude Garrett; children, Kecia Garrett, Travis Garrett, Tela Garrett, Nabrina (Luke) Weidimer, and Shayla Garrett; stepsons, Travis Lorick and Norris Coaxum; stepchildren from previous marriage, Jamie Green, Travis Pratt and Reginald Pratt; siblings, Leugean Ford, Luxora, AR; Rev. Earvan H. (Geraldine) Garrett, Marianna, AR, Mary Garrett and Jessie (William) Stoutt of Burlington, IA, Edward (Sheila) Garrett of Jonesboro, AR, Littie Robinson of Osceola, AR, Opal (Lonnie) Turner of West Memphis, AR, Brenda (Leonard) Speed of Benton, AR, Gwen Smith of Plano, TX and Michael DePreist of Osceola, AR. He will be missed by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. One sister, Ola Faye Garrett, preceded him in death.
