With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Ms. Sandra Shine Reid of Hiram, Georgia, formerly of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Sarah Shine, and her stepmother, Mrs. Robesene Shine.

Sandra's legacy of love, strength, and quiet grace lives on through her children: Selwyn Reid (Quincy) of Stafford, VA; Kelley Davidson of Hiram, GA; and Willie Reid (Shenita) of Villa Rica, GA. She was a devoted grandmother to Sh'Nya, Jayda, Walter Jr., CJ, Kingston, and Lyric—each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings: Patricia Copeland (David), Betty Shine (Moultrie), Charlie Shine Jr. (Annie), Kelly Shine Sr. (Sharon), all of Moncks Corner, SC; and Ernest Smith of North Carolina; her stepfather, York Smith; her dear friend and former spouse, Benjamin Reid; and a host of family and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Sandra will be remembered for her warm heart, enduring faith, and the quiet strength with which she faced life's journey. Her love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Nazareth Reformed Episcopal Church, 145 West End Drive, Moncks Corner, SC.Interment will be in Old Nazareth Cemetery, Pinopolis, SC.

The family will be receiving friends at their home 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
