Mrs. Sara Lee Sanders Williams, the daughter of the late Mr. John Sanders and the late Mrs. Venus Pinckney Sanders, was born on January 19, 1925 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Sara was the youngest child of twelve children. She was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 4, 2012. Sara was raised and educated in Moncks Corner, SC. As a young adult, she became a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and for many years she served on the Usher Board. The church presented her with the Certificate of Service Award in 1994 and the Seniority Award in 2005. She remained a long time faithful member of Wesley until her passing. Sara was joined in Holy Matrimony in 1944 to Mr. Baker Williams who preceded her in death. This union was blessed with seven children, four of whom preceded her in death (Harry, Brenda, Patricia, and Mae Frances). Sara was a homemaker and was affectionately known as "Lovey", "Mama", "Grandma", "Granny", and "Ms. Sara". Her house was filled with lots of love, children, grandchildren and good food. Her family often raved about her delicious blackberry dumplings. All who knew her also remembered the joy she received from her many hours of fishing. Catching and eating bream (fish) was her favorite. Those left behind to cherish her memories: two sons, Herman Henry Sanders Frazier, Sr. of Bronx, NY and Baker Williams, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; one daughter, Linda Williams of Moncks Corner, SC; three grandchildren she raised as her own, Betty "Penny" Frazier of Rome, GA, Herman Henry Frazier, Jr. of Rome, GA and Alphonso (Karen) Baskerville, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
