Mother Sarah Lee Copeland was born September 12, 1925, in Berkeley County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Sadie Brown and James Holmes. Sarah answered God's call and entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 6, 2021, at her residence.

She was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. After high school, Sarah began working for William Heller in Moncks Corner, SC.

Sarah was united in Holy Matrimony in 1944 to Mr. Joseph Copeland, and this union was blessed with six children.

She gave her life to God at a very early age and was a faithful and devoted member at Freewill Holiness Church in Moncks Corner, SC where she served as 'Mother of the Church.'

Sarah was faithful to her home, family, friends and community. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sarah will be remembered for her unselfish dedication to her family.

Sarah was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joseph Copeland; her three loving sons, Arthur Lee, Thomas and Jonathan; one sister, Emma Jane Johnson; and one great-grandson, Quadir Copeland.

Those left to cherish her precious memories: her two daughters, Loretta Amos of Philadelphia, PA and Beverly White of Moncks Corner, SC; son, David (Patricia) Copeland of Moncks Corner, SC; three special adopted children, Mike, Angie and Henry; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

We all love her, but God loved her BEST!

Viewing will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Face masks are required.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Freewill Holiness Church Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
