Sharon Hawkins Mazyck , daughter of the late Alton and Iva Bell Hawkins, Sr., was born on September 30, 1960 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

Sharon was educated in the Berkeley County Public School System and was a graduate of Macedonia High School Class of 1978. She retired from the Berkeley County Water and Sanitation Authority.

At an early age, Sharon became a member of Liberty Reformed Episcopal Church where she was a lifelong member. Sharon served on the Choir and the Missionary Board.

Sharon was united in Holy Matrimony to Eddie Mazyck on May 27, 1983. Their union was blessed with three children.

Sharon departed this life on August 7, 2020 at her residence.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Iva Bell Hawkins; siblings, Arnold Hawkins, Linda Morgan and Alton Hawkins, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Harvey Middleton and Osker Mazyck, Jr.

She will forever be remembered by: her husband, Eddie Mazyck; children, Kendrick, Ashley and Katherda; grandchildren, Sarai, Malik, Kaiden, Kyri and Kali; siblings, Ella Middleton, Pamela Hawkins, Victor Hawkins and Lisa (Steffany) Beauford; brother-in-law, Allen (Linda) Mazyck; sisters-in-law, Beverly Lewis, Freedonia Hawkins, Wilhemena Hawkins, Juanita Mazyck, Brenda Mazyck and Jean Bishop Mazyck; uncle Calvin Beauford; aunt, Shirley Washington; special friends, Faye Husser, Carolyn Pettigrew, Shirley Harvey, Vivian Beauford and Lydia Kinlaw; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that only immediate family members visit the home during this time. Please keep the Mazyck family in your thoughts and prayers.

Viewing will be Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 10, 2020, 10:00 a.m., at Savannah Creek Memorial Cemetery, Jamestown, SC. As per CDC guidelines, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
