Mrs. Shenna McKelvey Harleston departed this life on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC. She was born on July 6, 1956 to Thomas and Drew Willie McKelvey in New York, NY. Shenna was raised in Moncks Corner, SC, by her grandparents, the late Francis and Angeline McKelvey.

Shenna was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Ricky Harleston. They were blessed with two children.

Shenna was educated in the Berkeley County Public School System.  She was a lady with few words; you had to engage her into conversation and wait for her to respond with a "yeah or no" and her beautiful smile. Shenna was an excellent homemaker. Her home cooked meals were like no other; you were full after eating one of her meals. She kept her home immaculate - picture perfect, it could have been on a magazine cover.

Shenna was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially taking walks with her son. Shenna collected "Angel" ceramic figurines and liked listening to music and dancing. She will be remembered for her kind, sweet, gentle spirit.

Shenna leaves to cherish her loving and devoted husband, Ricky Harleston of Moncks Corner, SC; two sons, Ricky Jr. and Arthur Harleston both of Moncks Corner, SC; father, Thomas McKelvey of Moncks Corner, SC; five sisters, Cynthia St. Rose, Yvonne Price (Joseph), Twyona Bennett, Valerie McKelvey, and Lolita McKelvey all of New York, NY; two brothers, Thomas McKelvey, Jr. and Corey McKelvey both of New York, NY; mother-in-law, Mary Harleston of Boston, MA; two sisters-in-law, Vanessa and Teena Smith of Boston, MA; brothers-in-law, Alphonso L. Harleston of Long Island, NY and Bubba Young of Moncks Corner, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

In addition to her grandparents, Shenna was preceded in death by her mother, Drew Willie McKelvey; and brother, Henry McKelvey.
