Sheryl White Green, daughter of Mack Ravenell, Jr. and Delores White Ravenell, was born July 16, 1961 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. She heard the voice of God telling her it was time to come home on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
Sheryl attended the public schools of Berkeley County, graduating from St. Stephen High School in 1979. She then attended Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC, where she received her degree in Accounting.
Sheryl began her professional journey as an Auditor at Gates Rubber Company, where she worked for 27 years. She spent the last ten years at the Medical University of South Carolina as a Transplant Program Assistant.
Sheryl was a dedicated and faithful lifetime member of The Church of the Redeemer, Pineville, SC. She actively served in various roles including, but not limited to: Treasurer, Head of the Finance Committee and Captain of the Annual Church Rally Club.
Sheryl entered into Holy Matrimony to Freddie Green, Jr. on August 25, 2007. They were happily married for 13 years.
She was preceded in eternal rest by her grandfather, Lawrence White and nephew, Malik D. White.
Sheryl leaves behind to cherish a lifetime of precious memories: her husband, Freddie Green, Jr.; her children, Fredericka Smith (Reginald), Turue Devon Rogers, Katrina Green and Deondra Sharel Rogers; grandchildren, Dasani Brown, Xhadrian Jeremiah Rogers and Lila Speights; grandmother, Phylis Rebecca White; parents, Mack Ravenell, Jr. and Delores Ravenell; siblings, Larry White, Mack D. (Natisha) Ravenell III, Jason Ravenell,Derrick (Janet) Haskell, Darryl (Veronica) Bennett, Greg (Angie) Ravenell (honorary brother), Saundra R. (Michael) Mitchell, Darlene (Melvin) Bryant, Lynette Middleton and Yvonne Gethers; mother-in-law, Annie Green; siblings-in-law, Leon O. (Audrey) Green, Sr., Jerome (Dorothy) Green, Joe M. (Doris) Green, Floretha Dently, Ida D. (Dave) Dennis, Annette (Jackie) Washington and Jeanette Smith; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, cousins, co-workers, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2907 Highway 45, Pineville, SC.
