It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Shirley D. Elliott of Moncks Corner, SC, who peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, June 20, 2025.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Ms. Elliott leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will live on through her children, Denise F. Elliott-Hesterbey (Darryl) and Wade Elliott III; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her loving siblings, Leon Simmons (Brenda), Fernwell Simmons (Ferndena), Mary Simmons Ford (Lavone), Alma Liferidge (Jonathan, deceased), and Octhetis Simmons Clouden (Nimrod Anthony Jr.); as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Viewing and the Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Greater St. James AME Church, 1831 Jedburg Road, Summerville, SC. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the church's cemetery.
