It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Silas L. Middleton of Queens,New York, who entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2026.

Mr. Middleton will be remembered for his warm personality, love of family and friends, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed playing cards, cooking, watching sports, and spending time sharing stories and laughter with those he loved. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and lasting memories will forever be treasured by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Mrs. Audrey R. Middleton of Queens, New York; his children, Lisa Watkins of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Antoine Bennett of Freeport, New York, David Snowden of Brooklyn, New York, April Middleton of Linden, New Jersey, and Sheena Middleton of Linden, New Jersey; siblings, Peter Middleton, Arthur Middleton (Ruby), Betty McClenan (George -deceased), Benjamin Middleton and David Middleton; along with a host of other loving relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Silas L. Middleton will begin in New York on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with a viewing at 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Lawrence E. Woodward Funeral Home, 1 Troy Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.

South Carolina services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Day Dawn Baptist Church, 2057 Highway 45, Pineville, South Carolina. Family and friends are invited to a viewing beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Peru Cemetery, St. Stephen, SC.
