A TIME TO BE BORN: On July 15, 1957, Stevie Simpson was the first of three sons born to Charles Percy Lee Simpson and Gertrude Simpson in Summerville, South Carolina. A TIME TO LIVE: Stevie accepted the Lord at an early age at the House of God Church Keith Dominion in Harleyville, SC. Stevie attended school in Dorchester 3 School District. He was the first African American to integrate Harleyville Elementary School. He graduated from Harleyville-Ridgeville High School in 1975. There he accelerated in music and went on to play in the South Carolina State College band. 1979 was a great year for Stevie. He graduated from South Carolina State with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, and he was blessed with his first born. He worked many jobs managing businesses and also worked as an entrepreneur in the business industry. In 1981, he was wed in Holy Matrimony to Elaine Hampton. During their marriage, they lived in Miami, Florida and South Carolina. In 2007, he became a member of Heart to Heart International Ministries where he served as an Usher. A TIME TO DIE: On Friday, January 30, 2015, Stevie exercised his right of passage as a believer to go home to be with the Lord. A TIME TO MOURN: Stevie was a popular but yet modest individual who was loved by all. He leaves to cherish his memories: his dedicated and devoted wife, Elaine Hampton Simpson; three children, Antonio Simpson, Rena (Barry) Washington and Angelica Estevia Simpson; his mother Gertrude Simpson; two brothers, Donald O'ago Simpson and Charlee Simpson; three grandchildren, Sevaugh, Kaleb and Lyndon Washington; father-in-law, Johnny Hampton; mother-in-law, Bernice Hampton; three sisters-in-law, Elder Johnnie (Michael) Hampton Gilliam, Caroline Arquez, Melanie (Marcus) Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Bernard (Cynthia) Hampton and Jeffery Hampton; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Stevie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Percy Lee Simpson.
