It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Susie "AdaBee" Jefferson Grant of New York, NY, formerly of St. Stephen, SC. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

"AdaBee" was affectionately known as the Queen, Matriarch Supreme, Heart of the Home, Empowerer, Guiding Light, and the #1 Dallas Cowboys Fan North of the Mason-Dixon Line. The love, wisdom, and joy she shared will live on through the many lives she touched.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children, Thomas Grant, Jr. and his wife, Tonya Richardson Grant, and Pamela "Buffy" Ash and her husband, Christopher Ash; her beloved grandchildren, Taliyah Richardson, Jayla Ash, and Ceejay Ash, Jr.; her dear brother, Arthur Earl Jefferson and his wife, Omelia Clinckscales Jefferson; along with a host of loving relatives and friends who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Gethers Funeral Chapel – St. Stephen, 221 Church Road, St. Stephen, SC. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. Burial will follow in Old Field Cemetery.
