Obituary

Teddy (TJ) Leroy Lloyd Jr. was born in Cordesville, South Carolina on May 12, 1953 to the late Teddy and Mabel Lloyd.

TJ grew up on the family landmark, "Lloyd Hill" and was educated in the Berkeley County School System, graduating in 1971. In September 1972, he entered the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1975.

TJ
moved to New York in 1977 and drove tractor-trailer trucks cross-country for a number of years. He later became a New York State School Bus Driver, and after 28 years of service he retired in 2013. His workmanship and personality earned him the greatest respect from co-workers, the schools, the children, and parents.

TJ's
infectious smile touched us all in a special way. Everyone has a TJ experience to share that brought joy and laughter to your very soul. TJ loved life and loved people. He loved fishing, horseback riding, riding his motorcycle and telling jokes.

TJ
was an early riser and part of his morning routine was kicking it (talking) with his cousin AC while on their way to work. Several times a day, TJ would have story sharing time with Mother Maggie. TJ had a large number of friends that were special to him: Richard, Charles, Bennie, Tee Row, and the list goes on. The family of TJ all had a special and personal relationship with him; especially Cousin Tommie, Gladys, Rhonda and Rufus out on the water fishing ALL DAY for more days than can be counted.

TJ
loved the Lord. He got great joy displaying Godly love to all and would share his love for God and tell how good God is. His testimony of "Our God" was with him wherever he went. He would say, "Let me tell you, about the man upstairs…"

Those
that will live to celebrate and cherish TJ's life in this realm will be: his second mother (and favorite cousin) Mother Maggie Borden of South Carolina; one daughter, Fallon Lloyd of New York; one son, Lance Lloyd of Florida; three granddaughters,  Rachel, Nyla and Shyanne; one brother, Joel Richmond (Jackie) of South Carolina; four sisters, Barbara Antoine, Deborah Lloyd and Mary Lloyd all of New York and Kristi Johnson (Darryl) of South Carolina; eight nieces; two nephews; two grandnieces; four grandnephews; four aunts; four uncles; and a great host of cousins and friends.
TJ's time here with us seemed too short, but our God cannot make a mistake. He said, "your work here is done, come on up and get your reward." Today (May 12, 2016) is his earthly birthday. We celebrate and give God the glory for the great deeds he has done.

WE LOVE YOU TJ!!!!
