Tereak Rashad McKelvey, son of Lawrence and Wanda Walker McKelvey was born February 25, 1988 and entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 30, 2020.

Tereak was educated in the Berkeley County School System and graduated from Stratford High School. Tereak persuaded a career in his father's business (Starline Tiles), becoming a skilled tile layer.

He was an avid outdoorsman. Tereak was a whole hearted country boy who had a passion for nature, which included hunting, fishing and caring for his dogs. He enjoyed grilling. Tereak loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a smile that would light up any room. Tereak was a devoted father to his son Zion.

Tereak was preceded in death by a grandmother, Margaery Walker.

Tereak is survived by: his parents, Lawrence and Wanda McKelvey of Summerville, SC; son, Zion Ferrell McKelvey; two sisters, Shantel and Ketura McKelvey both of Summerville, SC; grandparents, Royal Walker, Lottie McKelvey of Moncks Corner, SC, and Harris (Gloria) McKelvey of Moncks Corner, SC; uncles, Royal Walker Jr. of Summerville, SC, Shawn (Lawanda) Walker of Goose Creek, SC and Tyrone (Shequina) McKelvey of Cross, SC; aunts, Sonya (LT) McKelvey-Whitener of Charlotte, NC and Tamisha (Marcell) Jackson of Moncks Corner, SC; mother of his son, Johneisia Ferrell; and a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Messiah Church of Deliverance Cemetery, 1198 Starline Drive, Summerville, SC. As per CDC guidelines, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing at both the viewing and the funeral.
