It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of Mrs. Thelma Grant Richardson of Moncks Corner, SC, on Monday, January 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Jesse Richardson.

Mrs. Richardson dedicated her life to education, retiring after many years of service with the Berkeley County School District. She was well-known for her eloquent public speaking and her inspiring recitations of poetry.

A devoted member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mrs. Richardson's kindness, wisdom, and grace touched the lives of many. She leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, and a host of family members and friends whose lives she profoundly influenced.

At this time, the family will not be receiving friends at the residence. Funeral service details are as follows:

• Viewing: Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
  
• Order of the Eastern Star Rites: Friday, January 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
  
  
• Wake Service: Friday, January 10, 2025, immediately following the OES rites, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. The family invites community members and Mrs. Richardson's former students to share reflections during the wake service. Friends will also be received during this time.
  
  
• Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1008 Sugar Hill Drive, Moncks Corner, SC. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Please note, there will be no viewing following the service.
  
  
• Interment: Old Nazareth Cemetery, Pinopolis, SC.
