With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. Theodore Simmons, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC, who departed this life on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Mr. Simmons faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. A dedicated educator, he invested many years shaping young minds as a building construction instructor—first at Harleyville-Ridgeville High School in Dorchester County, and later at Oakley Vocational Center within the Berkeley County School District, from where he retired. He also worked as a Longshoreman.

Known for his quiet strength, steady presence, and love for the outdoors, Mr. Simmons found joy in fishing, hunting, and gardening—pastimes that reflected his peaceful spirit and appreciation for God's creation.

He leaves a legacy of love to his devoted wife, Mrs. Angelyn "Angie" Simmons; his children, Carlton Simmons, Jr., Vanessa Simmons, Carolyn LeVine (Leroy), and Elisha Bryant (Joe); and a host of family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Viewing will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Gethers Funeral Home, Moncks Corner, SC.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Greater St. James AME Church, 1831 Jedburg Road, Summerville, SC. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Please note: There will be no viewing after the service. Interment will follow in Willson Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC.

The family is receiving friends at their residence from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
