A time to be born, And a time to die" -Ecclesiastes 3:1-2a Thomas Reid, son of the late Thomas Reid and Victoria Graham Reid, was born March 20, 1930 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Pruitt Health of Moncks Corner, SC. Thomas was employed by Umphlett Lumber Company, Moncks Corner, SC. "A man who has friends must himself be friendly" (Proverbs 18:24). Thomas proved himself to be friendly. He was well known and well loved in the Mitten Lane Community. He would often walk in the community and talk with his neighbors. After his health declined and he relocated to the nursing home, he continued to demonstrate friendliness towards others, even adopting some of his caregivers as his family. Thomas was preceded in death by his sisters, Christine Reid, Florence Reid and Edna Waring. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Geneva Sharper; grandsons, Terrell and Cliffton Sharper; brother, Herbert Lee (Bernice) Reid; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
