It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Timothy Johnson of Moncks Corner, SC, who departed this life on January 18, 2026.

Timothy enjoyed a fulfilling career at the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) in New York City. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Timothy was a passionate individual with a love for basketball and football. His enthusiasm for trains was well-known among his family and friends.  He was a  member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Timothy is survived by his daughter, Niesha Huff (Sean Rodriguez); and two granddaughters. He also leaves behind his siblings, Karen E. Johnson and Julia E. "Liz" Johnson, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who deeply adored him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Isadora Johnson, and his brother, Christopher J. Johnson.

A viewing will be held at Gethers Funeral Home located at 200 Grace St, Moncks Corner, SC, on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Burial will follow at Simmons Estate Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC.
