Tom Taylor Haynes, the son of Christine Lawrence, was born on October 16, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina. He departed this life on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC.

Tom attended Wallace High School in Charleston County.

Tom was a member of Greater Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Tom was united in marriage to Sandra Veronica Lloyd on May 18, 1968. She preceded him in death. Tom was blessed with seven children.

He loved going to the race track, raking the yard, washing his tools and listening to Frankie the Big Bopper on Magic 107.3. He was also employed by Cohen's Drywall for 36 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Thomas Haynes, Jr. of Cordesville, SC, Tyrone (Dania) Haynes of Moncks Corner, SC, Theresa Haynes and Antonio Haynes both of Cordesville, SC, Marquetta Haynes of Leesburg, FL, Jermaine (Kenya) Pyatt of North Charleston, SC and Harriett (Shawn) Haynes of Moncks Corner, SC; 10 grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Lloyd, Jr. and Bernard (Jacquelyn) Lloyd; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
