July 4, 1956 – March 10, 2022
Tyrone Keith Mustapher, the son of the late Clarence Mustapher and the late Geneva Prioleau Mustapher, was born July 4, 1956 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. He departed this life March 10, 2022 at his residence.
Keith was brought up in the Day Dawn Baptist Church Sunday School. He was converted and baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend George Jefferson. He was a loyal supporter of the church until his death.
Keith received his education in the Berkeley County public schools and attended J.K. Gourdin Elementary and Russellville High School. He was employed at Mead Westvaco.
Keith was joined in holy matrimony to Diane Washington in May 1980. To this union two children were born. He was loving and faithful to his family. He was always willing to give a helping hand.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving wife, Diane Mustapher; children, Rodney (Jonda) Jacobs of Atlanta, GA, Tristen (Quiozel) Simmons and Tyrone Mustapher, Jr. of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Rodney Jr., Tahj and Maison; siblings, Gloria (George) Casey, John (Evelyn) Mustapher, Angela (Nathan) Nelson and Rickie Mustapher; two loving aunts, Lucretia Mustapher and Annie Lee Williams; mother-in-law, Shirley Washington; six sisters-in-law, Deborah Mazyck, Annette Hammond, Billie Williamson, Gloria Scott, Barbara Washington and Mary Ann Dingle; three brothers-in-law, Elvis Scott, William Washington, Jr. and Otis Greene; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Keith will be greatly missed by his special friends: Jerry Washington, Isaac Pressley, David Woods, Reuben Stretch, Nathaniel Matthews, Randy White, Ivan McKelvey, David Middleton, Cleophas Mobley, Pete Lloyd, James Howard, Brenda McCray, Vernon Greene, Reese Cuttino, Lester Thompson, Andre Dingle, Leroy Dingle, Napoleon Carter and Arnold Simmons.
Viewing will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Gethers St. Stephen Chapel, 221 Church Road, St. Stephen, SC. Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 14, 2022, 12:00 p.m., at Mustapher Memorial Cemetery, 1108 Colonel Maham Drive, Pineville, SC (behind Mr. Mustapher's residence), with viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home's Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/gethersfh
