Valerie Johnson was born on February 10, 1959 in New York City to Frances and the late Samuel Johnson. She attended Canarsie High School in Brooklyn, New York.

Her acknowledgement of the Bible moved her to faithfully attend the "Memorial of Christ Death" throughout the years.

Valerie wanted a change from Brooklyn, so in 1998, she and her family moved to Florida where she resided until August of this year. Upon her return, she reunited with her family and friends who loved and cared about her.

Valerie will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt and a fun-loving, loyal friend.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her mother; a son, Victor; a sister, Patricia Johnson; four brothers, Arnold, Edward, Rodney and Leonard Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
