Vaniel Lee Danzy, Jr., affectionately know as "Mr. Tee", was born on July 30, 1976, in Georgetown, SC, to Vaniel Lee Danzy Sr., and Helen McCutcheon Woods. His life journey unexpectedly ended on May 30, 2018.
A Time to Be Educated
Tee was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC, and graduated from Macedonia High School in 1995. While attending high school, Tee took vocational courses to become an electrician. Later, he attended college for a short period of time to further his studies.
A Time to Worship
Tee began his Christian journey at a young age, and joined New Emanuel AME Church in Jamestown, SC. Later, he continued his Christian journey by worshiping at Kingdom Empowerment Ministries in North Charleston, SC.
A Time to Work
Tee was employed with Cleveland Electric Company through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 776, as a Journeyman Electrician and Foreman. He had also worked for H.R. Allen, Inc. for many years as an Electrician and Foreman. Over the years he freelanced as an Electrician and as a DJ.
A Time to Love
On August 5, 2010, Tee was joined in Holy Matrimony to Ashley Brown, of Savannah, GA. With this union, they became a blended family of eight.
A Time to Mourn
He is survived by his devoted wife; Ashley Brown-Danzy, five sons; Desmond Danzy, Jarvis Danzy, Brandon Danzy, Ethan Thomas and Evan Danzy, and one daughter; Laylah Brown, all of Moncks Corner, SC. He is also survived by his parents; Vaniel Lee Danzy, Sr. (Juanita), of Winston Salem, NC, and his mother Helen M. Woods of Jamestown, SC, one brother; Antonio Woods of Jamestown, SC, three sisters; Dania Woods-Haynes (Tyrone), of Moncks Corner, SC, Antonette Woods and Patience Brockington, of Jamestown, SC. His mother-in-law; Sharron Brown, brother-in-law Sean Brown (Norma), two sisters-in-law; Shayna Brown and Stacey Brown, all of Savannah, GA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tee was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A Time to Reflect
Tee was the McCutcheon family comedian. He enjoyed finding humor in everything, and he especially enjoyed making fun of his brother. Tee believed that he was the "King of the Grill". He was also the DJ for all family functions. He was a gifted electrician, loved technology, music and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the motorcycle group "We On 2's".
Tee was a very special person who loved his family very much. He was hardworking, generous, well respected, and was loved by many.
