January 13, 1956 – February 11, 2022
Victoria Brown, affectionately known as "Vicky", was born on January 13, 1956, in Berkeley County, South Carolina, to Willie and Rebecca Brown. She transitioned into eternal life with the Lord on February 11, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.
Vicky accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church, Cross, SC.
Upon graduation from Cross High School, she relocated to Newark, NJ, and attended Essex Community College. Upon completion of her course of study, Vicky worked for ITT as an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years. She later relocated to Dallas, TX, where she was employed at Parkland Memorial Hospital as a Benefits Administrator for many years. At the time of her death, she was employed by Summer Institute of Linguistics Inc. in the Benefits Department.
Vicky attended Calvary Church in Irving, TX, where she served in the Children's Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Norman Elbert Brown.
Her memory will be forever cherished by: her special friend, Gerald Patton; siblings, Wilhelmenia B. Weatherly (Dwight) of Charleston, SC, Sarah B. Limehouse and Maxine Quinn (Robert) of Moncks Corner, SC, Willie Brown Jr. and Rufus K. Brown of Cross, SC, Gene E. Brown and Irving S. Brown of Ladson, SC, Isiah Brown of San Tan Valley, AZ, Lennis and Glennis Brown of Newark, NJ and Valerie Brown of Summerville, SC. She also leaves three aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service (Private) will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home's Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/gethersfh Face masks are required. Interment will be in Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cross, SC.
