A JOURNEY BEGINS...

Wanda Butler President, born on December 5, 1962, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, was a beacon of talent and spirituality in her community. As the youngest of eleven siblings, she was raised in a vibrant, bustling household. Her early life was marked by her exceptional athleticism; she excelled in basketball, softball, and track during her time at Berkeley County Schools, graduating from Berkeley High School in June 1981. Wanda's deep-rooted faith played a central role throughout her life, never missing a Sunday service and using her gift as a psalmist to touch hearts across the globe.

Her life was rich with love and music. Wanda's travels for her singing career led her to meet her future husband, Raymond President, and they married on November 2, 1991. Together, they raised three children, Marquetta President Stewart (Daquan), Raymond L. President Jr., and Trinity C. President, and delighted in the joys of their two grandchildren, Daquan Stewart Jr., and Jeremiah Stewart.

Wanda's musical journey also saw her forming a significant bond with Pastor H.E. Dixon, traveling extensively to perform, and recording various songs that further showcased her vocal prowess.

Beyond her musical and familial achievements, Wanda was a lifelong learner, obtaining a degree in medical billing and coding from Virginia College in 2009. Wanda also excelled at her professional role in various Hilton Hotels.

Wanda Butler President's legacy is cherished by husband, Raymond President; children, Marquetta President Stewart (Quan), Raymond President Jr., and Trinity President; her sister, Helen Davis (James); her brothers, Johnny Hutchinson (Anna), Ralph Butler, Kenneth Butler (late Janice), Anthony Butler (Cynthia), Harold Scott, and David Mack (Rochaun); aunt, Elise Gauwa; special brother Leonard Simington; brothers-in-law, Theodore President (Shelia), Charlie President Sr. (Javane), Cleveland Bradley (Evelyn), Jonathan Bradley (Louvenia), Sam Bradley Jr. (Jacqueline), Kenneth Jenkins, Eddie Bradley (Doris); sisters-in-law, Almaz President, Deverly President, Mary Wilson, Margie B. Smalls, Linda Mazyck, Freezie Gillard (Rev. Rufus), and Patricia Whitten; and extended family of nieces and nephews.

Her laughter, jokes, and melodious voice filled the lives of all who knew her, leaving a void that will be deeply felt. Wanda's passing was preceded by her parents, Celia Ann and Leon Butler; and siblings, Gary Butler, Arthur Butler (late Karen), and Carthrell Butler.

Her life, imbued with passion and devotion, will be remembered, and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
