Wayne Elijah Gethers, affectionately known as "Pa", was born on April 14, 1969 in Bonneau, SC. He was a son of the late Margrette and Sandy Gethers. Wayne "Pa" attended Macedonia High School. He was employed by Gethers Grocery & Service Station in Moncks Corner, SC for many years where he worked as mechanic. He was very passionate about his job and enjoyed fixing automobiles. "Pa" was very kindhearted and loved everyone. Wayne "Pa" departed this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 in Williamsburg County, SC. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Cynthia Starks and Percy Gethers. His memory will forever be cherished by: his wife Chastity Rogers Gethers; his daughters, Shansharay Moultrie and Jade Rogers; son, Jarrod Rogers-Gethers; his brothers, William James Bynum, Sandy Gethers, Henry Gethers, Alford Gethers (Darnelle), Cazzie Gethers, and Chavis Gethers; two sisters, Mary Greene and Linda Morant (Larry); aunts and uncles, Lillian McCray (Clarence), Joyce McCray (Wallace), Katie Beauford, Ester Beauford, James "Pug" Gethers (Jean), and Lee Gethers (Corrine); two grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
