Wilhelmenia Eddings Boone "Dodie", daughter of the late Christopher Eddings and Mary Frasier Butler, was born May 15, 1932 in Eadytown, SC. She departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2009 at Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC. Wilhelmenia acknowledged the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Messiah Reformed Episcopal Church, Pineville, SC under the leadership of Reverend Lee F. Shaw. She was committed to various auxiliaries such as the Missionary Board, Senior Choir, Women of the Church, and she was a Sunday School member. Wilhelmenia was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. She was a caregiver to many persons in the community. She will be greatly missed. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Lawrence Boone on August 28, 1955. This union was blessed with seven children. Her husband and one son, Larry Boone, preceded her in death. Wilhelmenia leaves to love and cherish her memory: two daughters, Mary L. Washington (Curtis) of Pineville, SC and Barbara Oseagulu of Jersey City, NJ; four sons, Jonathan Boone (Betty) of Pineville, SC, Robert Boone (Delbena) of Fayetteville, NC, George Boone of Ohio and Leonard Boone (Belinda) of St. Stephen, SC; one special granddaughter, Tomika Boone of Goose Creek, SC; one sister, Rachel Brown of Pineville, SC; one brother, George McDaniel of St. Stephen, SC; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Boone (Deloris) and Alphonza Boone all of Brooklyn, NY; six sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Wiggins (Louis) of Opalocka, FL, Mary Louthes (Elijah), Rennie Boone all of Brooklyn, NY, Dorothy B. Gamble of Ladson, SC, Missionary Romell Boone of Brooklyn, NY and Missionary Juanita Boone of Pineville, SC; two special nieces, Josephine Gillard and Ruby Jenkins; one special nephew, John Henry Taylor (Sadie) of Charleston, SC; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two special friends, Dollie Bell Theirse and Zonda Hartwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
