It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. William Darrell Smalls, Jr. of Summerville, SC (Sheep Island Community), who transitioned into eternal life on Monday, October 31, 2022.

He is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Anna Ruth Smalls; children, Kendall Smalls and Brian Vanhanegyn; brothers, Archie (Delores) Smalls and Richard (Mildred) Smalls; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Reverend William Smalls, Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Lee Smalls; sons, Anthony Davis and Domminick Smalls; and a brother, Joseph Smalls.

Viewing will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Face masks are required. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Branch African Methodist Episcopal Church, 482 Jedburg Road, Summerville, SC, with viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. There will be NO VIEWING after the service. Burial will follow in Smalls Memorial Cemetery, Scott Hill Lane, Moncks Corner, SC.
