Willie J. "Bill" Reid was born March 7, 1946, a son of the late Christine Reid. He departed this life on December 16, 2014 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, South Carolina. Bill received his education in the Berkeley County School System. He was employed by Anson Construction Company from where he retired after 30 years of service. On March 25, 1970, Bill married the former Doris Chavis. To this union, three sons were born. Bill was a member of Moncks Corner A.M.E. Church. Willie was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie J. Reid. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Doris C. Reid of Moncks Corner, SC; three sons, William (Teresa) Reid, Ronald (Lennell) Reid both of Moncks Corner, SC and Troy (Rosalind) Reid of Glen Allen, VA; one brother, Charlie (Lassie) Reid of Moncks Corner, SC; nine grandchildren: DaNaqua, DeMonté, Dakayla, Courtlyn, Paisley, Jordan, Rondalyn, Branden, and Troy, Jr.; two uncles, Herbert Lee (Bernice) Reid and Thomas Reid both of Moncks Corner, SC; special cousin, Johnny Reid of Moncks Corner, SC; eight brothers-in-law and nine sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
