Willie (Will) Starks , the son of Willie Ann Holmes Starks and Alonza J. Starks, was born on May 26, 1977 in Charleston, South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 10:21 a.m., at Trident Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
"Stunna" as he was know to many, received his education in the public schools of Berkeley County. He received his formal education at Macedonia High School in 1995.
He had a love for various things such as: riding 4-wheelers, fast cars, music and bringing joy to those who he encountered and a passionate love for children. He also adored the Dallas Cowboys football team and will always be remembered for his infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alonza J. Starks.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his mother, Willie Ann (Esau) Holmes Starks; one son, Willie Starks of the home; two daughters, Asia Thompson of Atlanta, GA and Fa'Timah (Lionel) Walker of North Charleston, SC; four sisters, Doris (Roger) Holmes Greene, Sharon (Rasheed) Starks, Cliter Holmes all of Bonneau, SC and Sandra "Winnie" Starks of Moncks Corner, SC; fiancé, Kendra Thompson of Bonneau, SC; six uncles, Herbert (Theresa) Starks and Kenneth (Deloris) Starks both of Bonneau, SC, Samuel Moore of Columbia, SC, Tony Holmes of St. Stephen, SC, Robert Holmes and David (Angelene) Holmes both of New Haven, CT; nine aunts, Lucille (James) Sellers of Bonneau Beach, SC, Rosa Ann (Julius) Middleton of Bonneau, SC, Tommie Jean (Buck) McHoney of Moncks Corner, SC, Amanda (Tim) Davidson of Goose Creek, SC, Ida Lee Campbell, Juanita (Alphonso) Sumpter and Anna Gaillard all of St. Stephen, SC, Carolyn Harrison of New Haven, CT and Barbara Wright of Fayetteville, NC; grandaunts, Vera Govan of Bonneau, SC, Evangeline Whack and Julie Campbell both of Indianapolis, IN; godchildren, Raquan "RJ" Brown, Jr. and McKenzie Campbell; best friends, Rhonda and Tank from Indianapolis, IN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
